On August 14, a significant crime prevention meeting was held in Sirdarya, organized as part of the "Thursday - Crime Prevention Day" initiative. The meeting was led by the Sirdarya regional prosecutor and the head of the Sirdarya regional Internal Affairs Department, with participation from relevant responsible organizations.

The agenda included discussions concerning the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 1 of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025. The meeting discussed ongoing efforts within the region and outlined future priorities. In addition, a review of criminal activities that occurred in the region between August 1 and August 7, 2023, was conducted, and strategies for preventing future crimes were developed.

During the meeting, both the regional prosecutor and the head of the regional Internal Affairs Department provided explicit instructions and assignments to responsible leaders concerning the issues discussed.
